The Tidal Resonance Chamber is located on the Thea Foss in Tacoma, WA. It is collaboration with the artist, Robert M. Horner who conceived and designed the chamber. Water from the Thea Foss is drawn into a below grade chamber that will provide an aquatic habitat. The RE walls are pigmented with a range of colors that are reminiscent of sedimentary strata. Adjacent to the Center for Urban Waters and numerous petroleum tanks, the chamber will provide a contemplative space for the building occupants and its visitors. The mix design for these RE walls achieved compressive strengths greater than 7000 psi (pounds per square inch) at 56 days.
